Hmmm...Shall I open my driver's door or jump out this rear window?

Ok, so I just viewed the pictures released by Florida Highway Patrol of the famous Tiger Woods Cadillac Escalade and it seems to me that Tiger’s explanation for why both rear windows are smashed is bs.  Tiger claims that Elin was helping him escape the vehicle by smashing the rear windows.  But the fact of the matter is, the DRIVERS DOOR was able to be opened.  When I first saw the pictures of the crash, I didn’t think Tiger was trapped inside the car.  I mean, the pictures shown by the police clearly show the driver’s door as able to be open, and at the scene the damage done to the front doors was close to zero.

I don’t think anybody has mentioned this fact (that the driver’s door could open), which leads me to believe that Elin or somebody in general smashed both windows out of frustration.  Of course I was not there to help Tiger out of his car, but I think any logical person would rather try to open their undamaged door before jumping out of window filled with jagged, razor-sharp glass along the perimeter.

Wow, Tiger really messed-up this time! I guess that’s what happens when you don’t have that much experience in dealing with personal issues with the press. I knew from the beginning that staying silent wasn’t going to work for him.

And, reports are coming out that there are still, more women to come!

At this point it seems that mistresses are coming out simply to make a quick easy buck! Jaimee Grubs has already made $150,000 for “photo fees!”

It will be very interesting to see how Elin Nordegren, Tiger’s wife reacts to this situation. Frankly. Being young, wealthy, powerful, famous and not ugly makes for a very attractive mixture for single women of all ages.  I haven’t researched any of Tiger’s previous dating life but I bet the man has not put as much time into dating as most men do, simply because of his focus and determination to succeed at the difficult game of golf, not date women.  I know he has had a few girlfriends before the marriage, but how many?

I feel that the most successful marriages are between two people who have dated multiple people previously.  This gives individuals the time they need to think about what they really would like and dislike in a potential life partner.  And, I get the sense that Tiger did not have enough dating experience prior to marriage to know if Elin was really the right one for him.  Hence, over time he lost interest and got into an affair.

2. Physical custody of their 4 children
3. Attorney’s fees and costs to be paid by Shaq himself
4. Child support

Keep in mind that the couple was in the process of filing divorce in the summer of 2008.

On one side of the fence rumors are going around that Shaq has been cheating on his wife while the other side of the fence claims that Shaunie O’Neal is just doing this to get money.

It will be interesting to see how the courts deal with the financial distribution between the couple. Shaq’s amazing lifestyle may change slightly if Shaunie gets her way. I feel that Shaq will have to pay a pretty high price since he has absorbed his wife into such a high quality of life, and courts will be looking at his big spending sprees as reasons to hit him hard with child support, especially with four children!

In essence this means that delinquent debtors are not given the right to explain their situation to the courts at any time after the initial judgment was made. What happens if the debtor lost their job a few months after the court case and they could not keep up with their child support payments? And to have the inability to explain the situation is simply a violation of due process in my opinion. The Bradley Amendment has been the culprit for some outrageous situations including:

a. A veteran of the first Gulf War who was captured in Kuwait in 1990 and spent nearly five months as an Iraqi hostage being arrested the night after his release for not paying child support while he was a hostage.

b. A Texas man wrongly accused in 1980 of murder. After 10 years in prison, the man sued the state for wrongful imprisonment. The state responded with a bill for nearly $50,000 in child support that had not been paid while in prison.

c. A Virginia man required to pay retroactive child support even though DNA tests proved that he could not have been the father.
This amendment is simply amazingly strict and should really gain some flexibility to accommodate unique and dire situations, especially with the way the economy has been doing over the last few years. Failed attempts have been made to remove this amendment on the basis of it being unconstitutional, as recent as February 2006.

I could see why this amendment was created in the first place, to prevent the non-custodial parent (usually men) from avoiding payment of child support. The 1980’s saw the significant rise in men’s wages compared to women and this strict law was meant to help increase the woman’s power. Fair… I think whoever is forced to pay child support should certainly do so. As long as it’s going to the child (and not to the custodial parent’s next shopping spree) enforce it!

But, I feel like this law goes beyond the obligation of a traditional mother and father relationship. For this article I feel that a traditional mother father relationship sees both parents working. If the parents were together and one parent all of a sudden could not generate an income (loss of job or injury), naturally the other parent would try their best to generate more income to support the family. In this case the burden of supporting the child is simply shifted. The Bradley Amendment eliminates this shift that parents have when one parent is incapable of generating an income, therefore making the parent relationship artificial. A rational couple would put more pressure on the income earning to support the family, not the (injured or jobless parent).
